Conflicts and Independence
Kybernetix is structurally independent. This page describes what independence means in this practice and how we manage conflicts.
Structural Independence
Single Principal. No parent firm. No software resale agreements. No audit firm ties. No insurance broking arrangements. The practice generates revenue exclusively from the four families of engagement described under Practice. We do not receive referral fees, kickbacks, software commissions, or any other indirect compensation from third parties.
Conflicts Policy
We will not accept counsel or advisory engagements with firms where we hold a current governance appointment, and we will not accept governance appointments at firms where we hold an active counsel or advisory engagement, except by explicit board approval and with the conflict on the record.
We will not act for two firms in direct competitive conflict at the same time on the same matter. Where a potential conflict of this kind is identified, we will decline the second engagement.
Where the principal holds a senior executive role at another organisation, that organisation is not a Kybernetix client and Kybernetix does not act for it. The principal’s executive employment and the practice are separately accounted for and separately governed.
Prime Contract Delivery
Kybernetix delivers under prime contracts with reputable management consulting and engineering firms, including Big Four firms, BECA, Worley, and equivalent, where capacity and methodology fit permit. Under prime contract delivery, the prime contractor manages the client relationship and Kybernetix is identified to the end-client as the named delivery party for the relevant scope. Kybernetix retains its own delivery and reporting standards under either mode and will not deliver work that does not meet those standards.
Confidentiality
Kybernetix does not name clients in marketing material. Past and current engagements are discussed only under non-disclosure agreement, in client conversations, or with explicit prior permission. The practice’s commercial reputation rests on the consistency of this position. See our Privacy Policy.
Disputes
In the event of a dispute about a Kybernetix engagement, we ask that you raise the matter with the principal directly in the first instance. Where direct resolution is not possible, the parties will attempt mediation through a mutually agreed mediator before any other step.
