Kybernetix complies with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. This Privacy Policy page describes what personal information we collect through this site, why, how it is stored, and how to request access or deletion.
What We Collect
From the contact form: your name, your email address, and the text of your enquiry. From the site itself: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring URL) for the purpose of detecting abuse and understanding traffic patterns. We do not use marketing cookies, advertising trackers, or third-party analytics that share data with advertising networks.
How We Use It
We use contact form information to respond to your enquiry, to assess fit for an engagement, and where an engagement proceeds, to maintain a working relationship with you. We use server log information for security and site improvement only.
How We Store It
Contact form information is stored in the principal’s professional email system and, where engagements proceed, in the practice’s secure document storage. Access is limited to the principal.
How Long We Retain It
Enquiry-only correspondence is retained for two years and then deleted unless the enquirer has explicitly asked to be kept on a future-engagement list. Engagement records are retained for the period required by professional indemnity insurance and any applicable regulator.
Your Rights
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and to request correction or deletion. To exercise either right, email chuck@kybernetix.nz with the subject line ‘Privacy Request’. We will respond within twenty working days.
Jurisdiction and Governing Law
Kybernetix is a New Zealand based practice and this website operates under New Zealand regulations and requirements. All activities on this site, and any matter arising from your use of it or your interactions with Kybernetix, are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand, without regard to principles of conflicts of law. By using this website you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts and tribunals of New Zealand for the resolution of any dispute, claim, or complaint connected to this site or to Kybernetix.
Complaints
IIn the event of a Privacy concern, we ask that you raise the matter with the Principal directly in the first instance. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your personal information, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of New Zealand.
